a weekend at the farm

hey, february.

Blue and silver and grey… such a pretty pallet, no?

these photos are almost a month old now, the product of a weekend at the farm and my new-to-me DSLR! (thanks again, Rikki)

this is a wool shawl i tie-dyed in spring of 2010, but i only just got around to photographing recently. C and i call it my ‘shaman shawl’, because it makes you feel magical when it’s draped around your shoulders. Tie-dye has that power.

i had a lot of fun taking photos of the about-to-fall-down-barn.

so pretty!

so lean-y.

Also, Gordon got a hat.

…made from a milkweed pod – it came with a silky toupee, too.

i collected a few of the pods from the snow covered fields to take home too, to germinate and try to grow in this years garden. I’m not sure they’ll sprout tho, after being out in the elements… i’ll let you know!

hope you’re keeping warm, friends.
